DIY Median Point

Sick of sidewalk clutter? Put those newspaper dispensers in the street to create your own median point. A 15 minute observation showed that such a median point channelized cars in a much better way, making cars more predictable for pedestrians and cyclists. But interestingly, it also did not impede vehicle throughput, speed, or turns in any way.

I stumbled onto this in the morning yesterday and was surprised to find it still hanging out in the street at the end of the day. Nice.
