Cheerleader for Brooklyn

I love this profile on the newly appointed executive director of the Brooklyn Public Libraries, Dionne Mack-Harvin.
"She views the library as a vibrant community center, not a book vault..."

I loved this story too! I found it via The Morning News this morning and might've missed it otherwise.(One of the reasons why I love TMN's links so much.)

Her enthusiasm is inspirational, and it's good to know that there are people like her looking out for the future of libraries. Hopefully there are others out there like her.

Inspiring indeed. Very good for the community. And now, thanks to you, she can say, "They have heard of me in North Africa as well."
